Medusa

She is oftentimes depicted as a villain, and features as a monster one must defeat in games like God of War and others. The legend of the creature is a bit sad though. Once a beautiful young maiden, she overstepped her bounds, broke her vows to Athena, and married Poseidon who was enthralled by her beauty. Her punishment for this act was a tad excessive. She fled her home, and lived in misery for the remainder of her life, until she was murdered by Perseus.

I painted the entire scene in Procreate on an iPad Pro. Minor corrections were done in the final stage in Photoshop.
